Mindware to increase Saudi partner network

Riyadh, February 5, 2009

Mindware, a leading IT distributor in the Middle East, has planned to further strengthen its channel partner network in Saudi Arabia.

The move is in line with expectations that the Saudi Arabian IT market will touch nearly $3.9 billion by 2011, which reflects a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12 per cent, amidst the launch of IT programs in education and eGovernance, ambitious government initiatives to establish ‘Smart Cities’ and overall liberalisation of the IT & telecommunications market.

In addition, the company has appointed Radwan Basheer as the new general manager of Mindware in the kingdom.

In line with its aims to establish a stronger presence within the kingdom, Mindware has recently invested in a state-of-the-art office in Riyadh, which will serve as a domestic hub for its Saudi operations.

The Saudi office comprises a 40-strong team of highly competent professionals, who have been carefully picked and trained to handle the unique demands of its customers in the kingdom.

Leveraging its extensive geographical reach and regional expertise, Mindware has successfully forged strategic partnerships with the world’s leading manufacturers.

Apart from Saudi Arabia, Mindware is also providing its VAD solutions to major regional markets including the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus and North Africa.

“The strong momentum of IT activities in Saudi Arabia underlines the significance of this market, which has retained its leading position amidst the global economic meltdown,” said Radwan Basheer.

With a focus on logistics, promptness and reliability, Mindware’s expanded suite of Value Added Distributor (VAD) services include a whole range of networked services such as pre-sales consultancy, marketing, service implementation and after-sales support, which have facilitated market penetration and profitability.-TradeArabia News Service
