Manama, June 22, 2010

Batelco, the leading telecom service provider in Bahrain, and the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) have signed an agreement that will deliver a number of benefits for members of BAB.

Customers subscribing to the packages will also receive a Batelco voucher worth BD30 ($79.65) and a free nice number, it added.

Those who additionally subscribe for a Batelco Blackberry service under a one year contract will receive a free Blackberry. The Blackberry packages include Batelco’s Blackberry Unlimited which delivers unlimited free data and 100 free SMSs for BD11 monthly, the statement said.

The range of roadshow products and services also features a free O-net device with up to 7.4 Mbps browsing speed, provided with a subscription to any of Batelco’s O-net packages which start from BD2 monthly.

In addition, any customer who subscribes for one of Batelco’s data services for a minimum of one year may get a discounted Asus NetBook on an instalment offer.

The special offers will be available from June 21 to July 31.

“Batelco recently sponsored a business lunch for the Bahrain Association of Banks and the rollout of these special offers for the Association’s members follows on from that collaboration,” said Ahmed Al Janahi, Batelco Group general manager media and government relations.

“The superb basket of products and services we are offering during the month long Roadshow ties in with our commitment to the business community to provide relevant solutions that meet their needs,” he added.

Bahrain Association of Banks CEO Robert Ainey said: “This will help banks improve their telecommunications services in a cost-effective manner and for the employees and family members to achieve real savings.”

“It is through partnerships like this that we can provide benefit to the businesses, citizens and residents of the Kingdom,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
