ISIT expands regional footprint

Dubai, September 22, 2010

ISIT Middle East, the regional arm of Europe’s pioneering data storage and security solutions provider, has announced the opening of its new offices in Abu Dhabi, Manama, Riyadh and Al Khobar in line with its regional expansion plans.

The new bases are expected to further strengthen ISIT’s position and its growth across the Middle East as it strives to offer customised solutions for storing and securing digital information to its fast expanding region-wide customer base, said a top official.

The company’s Middle East headquarters located in Dubai is currently in its 3rd year of operation.

'ISIT is synonymous with data storage in Holland for over 20 years. Therefore, as part of our global expansion strategy, ISIT is looking at expanding operations across the Middle East,' said Mahesh Vaidya, CEO, ISIT Middle East.

“Twenty years of providing customer-focused solutions across Europe and Middle East along with a consultancy led vendor neutral approach has created wider market acceptance for ISIT,' he remarked.

'A continuous focus on information storage and security provides us an edge over our competitors and we believe the region offers us tremendous potential,' he added.

Despite the global recession, customers in Middle East have not stopped investing in building the IT infrastructure, especially in storage and security, Vaidya said, citing industry research.

ISIT has been working with customers in these areas, and has achieved several successful implementations, he noted.

Due to continuous investment in this segment, ISIT said it expects revenues to double this year.

“The growth in the region has encouraged us to initiate a major expansion phase consolidating our positions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The next phase of growth for ISIT will be in Qatar. We are confident our growth will positively reflect on our annual revenue,” Vaidya added.

ISIT sees data loss prevention as one segment with huge potential in the newly-expanded areas. As storage and security are not issues limited to large enterprises, the company has also witnessed an uptake in mid to high-tier enterprise customers across the region.

ISIT’s security offerings enable customers to build a security framework that are customised to meet the unique business needs of organisations across various sectors.

From banking and finance, oil and gas, government, manufacturing, telecoms, healthcare and education, ISIT’s team understands the market needs through delivering a host of security service solutions that range from consultancy, product technologies, implementation and support to training IT managers on-site, he said.-TradeArabia News Service
