Epicor expands network in Qatar

Doha, July 31, 2011

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, plans to further expand its channel in Qatar.

The company aims to take advantage of the aggressive IT expenditure in the country that is expected to sustain a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10 per cent from 2011-2015.

In line with its business strategy in the region, Epicor further revealed that it is targeting companies with $2 billion or less in annual revenues, including divisions or subsidiaries of very large, multi-billion dollar organisations.

Lucrative business prospects are expected from key growth sectors such as hydrocarbon, banking, real estate, education and telecoms, helping establish Qatar as one of the fastest-growing markets in the region. Qatar's total IT market is expected to reach $610 million by 2015, said the Qatar Information Technology Report Q2 2011.

Basil Daniells, vice president sales for Epicor, said: “Qatar’s IT market has benefited greatly from the steady growth of the country’s economy and this creates exciting possibilities and tremendous growth opportunities for Epicor. Government and private sector expenditure on information and communication technology has witnessed a huge upsurge over the past few years and is expected to maintain its robust growth pace in the long-term. This has subsequently resulted in aggressive adoption of business software solutions as companies leverage the power of IT to drive workplace productivity and efficiency.”

Daniells concluded: “Epicor is focused on further strengthening and expanding its network of channel partners in the country to support the increasing demand for business software solutions and rapid growth of this market. Epicor is perfectly positioned to provide the right business software solutions that enable companies to increase efficiencies, improve performance and strengthen their competitive edge.” -TradeArabia News Service
