Microsoft to offer top cloud tools in Qatar

Doha, October 7, 2011

Microsoft Qatar said that its newest cloud product will offer customers in Qatar the most complete set of cloud-based solutions to meet any business need.

Microsoft Office 365, the company’s newest cloud service, brings together Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Lync Online in an always-up-to-date cloud service, at a predictable monthly subscription.

“For our customers, collaboration is critical to business growth given the need for instant access to relevant information, exchange of ideas and the right people to take the right action at the right time,” said Kirk Koenigsbauer, Microsoft Corporate vice president, Office Division Product Management Group.

“Businesses today are looking for technologies that help them make an even bigger impact and with Office 365, we believe we have the solution to enhance collaboration and productivity for businesses of all sizes in Qatar.”

Naim Yazbeck, country manager, Microsoft Qatar, said, “Microsoft’s cloud computing solutions, such as Office 365, are geared to support emerging economies like Qatar and accelerate the growth of local innovation industries in the country.”

“In addition to enterprises, Office 365 will also help the SME(Small & Medium Enterprise) community in Qatar. SMEs typically have little or no IT support and very little time and financial resources to dedicate to technology. Office 365 can play a significant role in helping their employees share information in new ways that boost productivity and minimise IT costs,” he added.

Microsoft will roll out a wide range of service plans that are designed to meet the needs of a variety of companies of different sizes at the time of Office 365’s commercial launch.

With Office 365, businesses can simply pay a monthly subscription at a price they can predict and afford, or they can connect Office software that they own already with the Office 365 service, a statement said.

With Office 365, Microsoft's will not only deliver cutting-edge tools and services, but also the highest levels of reliability, performance and security with the best service level agreement policies in the industry, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
