Viva unveils special data roaming rates

Kuwait, April 3, 2012

Viva, the newest mobile telecommunications service provider in Kuwait, has introduced its Global Surf-On Roaming scheme offering a wide range of data roaming packages for its customers.

Under this offer, customers can enjoy Viva's roaming services while travelling abroad in more than 50 countries spanning from the US to Thailand, and from Australia to South Africa without worrying about their bills, said a senior official.

'With increasing capabilities and services, our customers are using mobile internet for business and social media usage more and more frequently than before, increasing their need to stay connected at all times, even when traveling,' remarked Viva CEO Salman Al-Badran.

'The new packages are a convenient and affordable way for postpaid and prepaid customers who are using either a BlackBerry device or other smartphone device to surf the internet while they travel in more than 50 destinations (selected countries and selected operators) and start from just KD9 ($32.3) per week,' he stated.

'Our latest roaming rates have been designed to meet this demand both cost effectively and seamlessly,' Al-Badran noted.

'The weekly packages of 25 Mb cost KD9, and 60 Mb at KD18, while the monthly packages consist of 50 Mb at KD18 and the 80 Mb at KD 30. For any additional internet usage during the validity period, customers will be charged 60 fils per 10kb.'

'With these packages, our customers can now enjoy roaming in over 50 countries knowing that they will not have to manage a huge unexpected bill on their return and without service interruption while they are abroad,' Al Badran added.-TradeArabia News Service
