Ruckus Wireless names sales director
Dubai, April 10, 2012
Ruckus Wireless, a leading supplier of advanced wireless systems for the mobile Internetworking market, has appointed Nader Baghdadi as Middle East regional sales director.
Baghdadi’s appointment comes at a critical growth period for the company which has secured more business in Q1 2012 than all of 2011 combined, a statement said.
Baghdadi brings to Ruckus over 15 years of IT and networking experience and an ambitious plan to drive sales for Ruckus’ wide range of indoor and outdoor “Smart Wi-Fi” products for mobile operators, broadband service providers, and corporate enterprises.
The Middle East as a region bucks worldwide trends in IT spending. Recent reports from Gartner state that the Middle East and Africa is expected to grow by 14.3 per cent in 2012.
This uptake in spending is certainly good news for networking vendors like Ruckus which has already seen an astounding increase of 254 per cent from Q4 2011 to Q1 2012.
Ruckus’ unique selling point is patented Wi-Fi technology and in particular its adaptive antenna arrays that focus and direct Wi-Fi transmissions over the best signal path, automatically avoiding sources of Wi-Fi interference.
“Our newest regional sales director has his work cut out for him,” stated Arnaud Le Hung, EMEA marketing director.
“Ruckus is making the Middle East a priority and we see huge growth potential in this market, particularly in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, because of high demand for smarter Wi-Fi systems. We are confident that the addition of Nader Baghdadi, who has extensive regional experience, will be invaluable to us this year.”
In his new role, Baghdadi will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, growing market-share, and supporting Ruckus’ broad range of channel partners.
His previous experience consists of a list of top companies including Cisco Systems, NetScreen Technologies (Juniper Networks) and most recently Motorola Solutions. – TradeArabia News Service
