Dubai, June 12, 2012
Dubai Internet City has announced its support to ‘Click 6.0’, a learning and networking platform for digital marketers, brand managers and online marketing strategists to help them engage the online community through advanced digital marketing techniques.
The ongoing event organised by IQPC, is being held at Grand Millenium, Dubai, and will end on June 13. Click 6.0 brought together experts to network and share best practices from local and international industry.
Malek Al Malek, managing director, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone, said: “The impact of digital tools and resources available in the region has influenced decision makers in planning out their company strategy and targeting end users. This is mainly due to the easy access to technology and being able to adapt this in an enterprise environment.”
“Social media has also influenced decision making and planning out long term strategies for companies based in the region. They understand the impact and returns from the use of digital technologies and are already on that path. The high penetration of internet in UAE at 76 per cent is proof to the influence of technology in the country and the growth of digital platforms.”
Tanya Sydorenko, conference director, IQPC, said: “Businesses today are taking their existing platforms to a new level of ROI. Brands want to use digital resources effectively by measuring online presence and leveraging innovations that leads to true business gains. Digital budgets are also increasing every year therefore pushing marketing to the next level.”
“Customers can now explore how to incorporate e-commerce and social commerce to monetise online opportunities. Effective content can be generated for email, mobile and video marketing campaigns to deliver messages and increase conversion rates.”
Activities in social media will see an increase this year with 81 per cent of enterprises in the Middle East expecting to increase investment.
