Ooredoo to reach 2.5m customers milestone

Doha, November 17, 2013

Ooredoo is set to reach the milestone of 2.5 million mobile customers in Qatar by December.

The company attributed to the sustained customer growth to the popularity of its Hala and Shahry services, and the wide range of options available for each, said a statement.

It launched a wave of Hala and Shahry packs this year, supported by Hala and Shahry Keys, which connect people to a broad range of preferred services, such as international calling and data.

The launching of Qatar’s first and only 4G service also provided an important boost for the company in reaching this record number of customers, it said.

To ensure that new customers continue to enjoy access, Ooredoo has launched a country-wide customer experience initiative, which will continue into the new year.

Recent highlights of this campaign include the official opening of the new Ooredoo Qatar Headquarters Two, with an in-house customer contact centre and high-tech paperless Ooredoo Shop. - TradeArabia News Service
