Cannon unveils new range of data centres

, November 21, 2013

Cannon Technologies ME, has unveiled its new range of configurable and expandable ISO-compliant self-contained data centres that are fully turnkey ready.

The data centres available in 6, 12 and 13.5 metre versions are available to Cannon’s global client base immediately, said a statement.

Mark Awdas, engineering manager, said: "We've been piloting the ISO shipping container units with a number of our key clients, and feedback has been extremely positive, especially since the robust units include our CP-M Series of advanced three-phase modular power protection as an integrated feature."

"This advanced version of our UPS module - which is standard to the ISO containers - helps to reduce SPOF (single point of failure) and MTIR (mean time to repair) ratios for clients, as well as increasing site power availability wherever the ISO units are located," he said.

A key feature of the UPS function is support for plug-and-play battery facilities, allowing the power feed to continue to protected equipment while batteries are being replaced.

The ISO units also support up to 95 per cent power efficiency – ranging up to 98 per cent in Eco mode - with an integrated power capacity as high as 800kVA using four 200 kVA cabinets in parallel.

This modular power flexibility allows clients to scale their power and runtime options as demand grows - or as and when higher levels of availability are required.

The composition of the racks can be built completely to client specifications, as well as to a pre-configured design that is available to be carefully drop-shipped to the client’s site in a relatively short timescale. - TradeArabia News Service
