Mobily to develop Madinah telecom infrastructure

Saudi-based Madinah Development Authority has signed a co-operation agreement allowing Mobily to develop the infrastructure of the Central Zone by providing the latest telecommunications services and information technology for a period of ten years.

The signing ceremony took place at Madinah in the presence of Prince Faisal Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Governor of Madinah, the chairman of the Development Authority of Madinah and Mobily’s MD & CEO Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf.

As per the agreement Mobily will develop and upgrade the readiness of the infrastructure of the city of Madinah to accommodate modern and sophisticated technical applications, as well as business systems for the targeted areas in the city; as per different practical and feasible scenarios for each individual project. This also includes implementation mechanism and service delivery, said Bin Omar Al Kaf.

The Madinah Development Authority shall provide all necessary protection and support for Mobily’s investments within the limits of its responsibility, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
