Etisalat unveils surveillance solution for businesses
Abu Dhabi, April 2, 2014
Etisalat, a leading telecommunication services provider in the UAE, has launched its new 'Smart Security and Surveillance' solution, which will protect customers from theft, vandalism, accidents and unauthorised entry.
The operator has partnered with LG Electronics, to provide customers with a fully-hosted end-to-end IP-based solution, offering security features including live on-site video streaming, centralised video archiving, remote video playback, alarm relay and video analytics.
Abdullah Hashim, senior vice president, digital services, said: “Businesses today are increasingly concerned with security and procedures and technology must effectively prevent vandalism, accidents, or unlawful building access from disrupting daily operations. For video surveillance, many companies still use closed circuit TV (CCTV) but this is not an efficient way to view property and assets remotely.
“Our exciting new IP-based solution is a one stop shop for security and surveillance allowing business owners to stay one step ahead of any unwarranted activity. Operated via an extensive network and data centre facilities by a trusted partner for sensitive data, this competitively priced solution will give customers added peace of mind.”
The solution, which is aimed at small and medium businesses and large enterprises, offers a managed service contract and up to three-year payment plan. It is offered on a performance-based service level agreement (SLA) and requires no upfront investment.
An IP-based video surveillance connects to the existing IP infrastructure, becoming a part of the data network and can be integrated with other business systems to provide enhanced surveillance capabilities, said a statement.
IP-based cameras work with monitoring software and network attached storage devices to allow improved event search and retrieval and remote management of the physical security, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
