Mobily joins Etisalat’s regional smart hub

Mobily, one of the largest telecom companies based in Saudi Arabia, has joined Etisalat’s SmartHub, the region’s largest capacity and content hub in the Middle East.

The move will enhance internet speeds by providing direct access to some of the world’s largest content providers hosted in the UAE’s Smarthub.

Mobily will be part of the Etisalat’s SmartHub IX community, providing direct access to the largest content delivery networks and streaming video services. This partnership also provides additional network diversity for Mobily.

Ali Amiri, the executive VP (Carrier & Wholesale Services) Etisalat said: "We are delighted that Mobily will be joining the Smarthub IX.  This clearly demonstrates how working together increases customer value."

"SmartHub will provide Mobily a competitive advantage by further reducing latency for high speed internet services. Mobily’s participation is a great testimony to SmartHub and we look forward to growing our business together," he noted.

Mobily also recently connected its subscribers via Etisalat SmartHub IPX which enables 4G/LTE roaming services and mobile data services.-TradeArabia News Service
