Samena to hold telecom leaders summit

A major summit focusing on stimulating development and progression in the overall telecoms and regional ICT landscape is set to be organised in Dubai by Samena Telecommunications Council, a tri-regional, non-profit telecommunications association.
Hosted by Huawei, The Telecom Leaders’ Summit 2014 will be held on June 19 at Armani Hotel Dubai. It will be held under the theme “The Rise of the Broadband Economy – Shaping Excellence in Cooperation - Government, Telecom Operators, Internet Players”.
The agenda for The Telecom Leaders’ Summit 2014 will encompass various sessions in the presence of ministers from the ICT sector of various countries as well as key industry figures from the region.
The discussions will span three areas including Role of Government, Digital Governance and Broadband Development Strategy.
“Considering that the ICT sector in the region is on the threshold of a digital revolution, Samena Telecommunications Council realizes the significance of providing stakeholders with opportunities to exchange ideas and cooperate on industry issues to identify solutions with far-reaching benefits,” said Bocar Ba, CEO, Samena Telecommunications Council.
