Mobily launches ‘Cloud Partnership Program'

Saudi Arabia-based telecom operator Mobily has launched its first cloud partnership programme in the Middle East and Africa.
The Mobily Cloud Partnership Program (MCPP) is the framework for collaboration between Mobily and its partners, offering a wide range of benefits, trainings, certifications and awards, said a statement.
It was announced during an event held at the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh recently.
The programme’s obejective is to collaborate with leading IT solution and consulting players to take part together in the growing cloud services market.
It will allow partners to combine their solutions and value-added professional services with Mobily Cloud Offerings to attract new customers, grow sales and deliver the best customer experience.
Mobily is aiming at creating a ‘Cloud Computing Market Place and Community’ through this programme to pursue the cloud service market opportunity that is expected to increase at an average rate of 61.9 per cent during the period from 2013 to 2017, according to the latest market research from IDC.
The target ecosystem of partners include technology partners, IT consulting companies, system integrators, application developers and independent software vendors (ISV) who create and deliver in collaboration with Mobily, the customised and localised turnkey solutions to businesses customers.
Mobily has also launched its first cloud market place platform to open up its portfolio of cloud, networking and mobility services, and allow its new ecosystem partners to develop and deliver their own customised applications and solutions with differentiated value to each customer segment, said the statement.
Participating partners will have access through this new platform to gain visibility into certain Mobily systems, processes and tools and innovate with Mobily to deliver customised, finished solutions to business customers.
Khalid Al Kaf, chief executive officer, said: "This is a unique opportunity encouraging local entrepreneurs to develop and market their own business application in collaboration with Mobily, contributing directly to the growth of the local ICT Industry.”
Joining the programme will give partners the opportunity to provide trusted and certified cloud computing services and to be associated with the Mobily commercial brand, he said.
“This programme is attracting many leading solution providers. As of today Mobily already have 14 partners who joined officially the programme and started delivering, in collaboration with Mobily, unique IT Business solutions to customers in sectors such as education, health, manufacturing and finance.” said Al Kaf.
