ESET releases beta version of security software for home users

Dubai, August 6, 2014

IT security provider ESET has released the beta version of its ESET NOD32 Antivirus 8 and ESET Smart Security 8 for home users.

Users can enjoy a new technology feature that helps to discover and fight botnets like Windigo with Botnet Protection or protect their devices against malware which misuses zero-day exploits thanks to enhanced Exploit Blocker feature, the company said.

They can keep their sensitive data safe with the best anti-phishing solution on market and manage anti-theft feature for all their devices linked to my.eset.com, it said.

The company is slated to launch the final versions of both these solutions at the upcoming Gitex Technology Week taking place in October.

The new products offer users a great balance of protection and usability, without compromising system performance, enabling them to enjoy safer technology.

Before official release of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 8 and ESET Smart Security 8, both products are subjected to thorough testing. Users can access and test out the precursors of the final products – with all announced security features and improvements inside- thanks to ESET Beta Program, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
