Motorola unveils new devices at Dubai event

DUBAI, September 16, 2014

Motorola Solutions, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions and services for enterprise and government customers, recently unveiled a suite of solutions designed to improve emergency response and decision-making capabilities of public safety agencies at the Critical Communications Middle East Conference and Exhibition in Dubai, UAE.

These innovative solutions range from a versatile range of Terrestrial Trunked Radios (Tetra), a fully operational concept connected patrol car that represents the emergency vehicle of the future, and a next-generation Intelligent Data Portal that makes accessing critical information easier and allows for multi-agency collaboration.

The conference and exhibition took place from September 14 to 16 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. Critical Communications Middle East is the region’s flagship event for critical communication professionals.

Osama Shihabi, director of sales, Middle East Region, Motorola Solutions, said: “As the imperative for public safety and security continues to grow in modern societies, having greater mobility and instant access to mission-critical information has become vital to making potentially life-saving decisions. The diverse range of solutions we are showcasing at Critical Communications Middle East helps leverage mobility technology advances to enable a new level of intelligence and connectivity in the field in order to coordinate a better response and improve decision-making capabilities of public safety professionals.”

The MTP3000 and MTP6000 Tetra radio series has been created to drive safer, smarter and faster frontline operations. This family of radios addresses diverse end-user needs and delivers assured communications through industry leading audio and coverage performance. Motorola Solutions also showcase its Atex-certified radios which are also optimised for hazardous oil and gas environments.

The new Intelligent Data Portal (IDP) from Motorola Solutions provides public safety agencies and commercial services with a simple way to access their data in the field from multiple databases across different mobile devices and networks.

IDP is a mobile, cloud-based application that gathers contextual information from existing databases, it then organises and maps it using role-based layers to show the location and context of people, resources, events and developing situations. Users in the field can see near real-time updates of data from sensors, surveillance cameras, relevant social media feeds such as Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, Flickr and Instagram and other events to provide warnings of escalating and evolving situations. – TradeArabia News Service
