Imdaad, Robotina join hands for Dubai smart city project

DUBAI, September 21, 2014

Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities management solutions in the GCC, has announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Robotina, a Slovenia-based comprehensive automation solutions provider, to implement its Network Operations Centre (NOC) Project within Dubai’s ‘Smart City’.

The joint venture will carry out the implementation and commissioning of the NOC to remotely manage and monitor the facilities currently managed by Imdaad.

Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding between Imdaad and Robotina, the two parties will jointly invest in the development of the necessary applications and business processes for commissioning the NOC.

Robotina will also exclusively provide supplies to Imdaad for the centre’s construction. Imdaad, on the other hand, will support Robotina by introducing it to its key clients to help the automation company to strengthen the presence and share its own solutions, products or services in the UAE market.

Jamal Abdullah Lootah, CEO of Imdaad, said: “Our new joint venture with Robotina is an ambitious project which will enable us to remotely monitor and manage our facilities in addition to conserving energy, reducing operation cost, and improving overall energy efficiency. We have selected Robotina for this project because of their experience, range of products and solutions, and expertise in proving building management and automation solutions. We are confident that once operational, NOC will support the UAE’s vision of ‘green’ solutions for sustainable living as well as Dubai’s shift towards becoming a ‘smart’ city in next three years.”

Robotina has been redefining the automation of the production process since its establishment in 1990. Over the years, the company has emerged as a comprehensive automation solutions provider with a portfolio that includes distribution, support and service for automation components and electronic devices.

Imdaad has gained a strong reputation in the region as an adopter and implementer of the latest FM technologies and practices. The company acquires eco-friendly equipment and prioritises sustainability across all its operations. It also conducts recycling training for its clients, corporate partners and staff, in addition to providing free recycling bins in certain projects where it handles waste management and collection service. – TradeArabia News Service
