Zain Bahrain’s mobile broadband customers grow 23pc

Zain Bahrain said its mobile broadband customers grew by 23 per cent during the first quarter of this year.

The total customer numbers grew one per cent to 785,000 as of March 31, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The company registered a net profit of BD1.024 million ($2.716 million) for the first quarter ended March 31.

This compares with BD1.08 million for the same quarter last year, a decline of 5.1 per cent.

In a filing to the Bahrain Bourse, the company said revenues for the quarter was BD17.633 million, down 4.16 per cent when compared with BD18.398 million in the same quarter last year.

Zain Bahrain said its EBTIDA margin for the quarter was 39.42 per cent. - TradeArabia News Service
