Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has appointed Charles Yang as its president for the company’s business in the Middle East region.

Yang will oversee the company’s operations, guiding its strategic direction, leading its business development and customers’ relations to drive wider adoption of the Huawei’s technology innovations.

Yang joined Huawei in 1999 and has over 16 years of experience in the telecom industry playing a key role in many of Huawei’s milestone global projects.

He has held a number of senior positions in the company, most notably as president of Huawei’s STC Group account and chief executive officer for Huawei in Shandong, Neimeng and Liaoning province in China.

Over the latest three years, Yang has been active in Saudi Arabia, supporting the development of the telecom industry in Saudi Arabia.

His achievements included include constructing new strategic partnerships with operators, assisting operators to achieve the best customer experience, setting up telecom laboratory and telecom training center for talent development, and deploying joint innovation centre for cutting-edge technologies research in Saudi Arabia. - TradeArabia News Service
