Future of Bahrain’s ICT industry in focus

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) organised an open seminar on the future of information and communication technology (ICT) sector in Bahrain, the region and around the world.

The event was held at the Sheraton Bahrain within a ‘Ramadan Ghabka’ held by the society for its members and guests.

Ubaidli Al-Ubaidli, president, said the seminar aimed at exploring horizons of development of ICT sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy through the promotion of strong pillars for this sector in Bahrain, such as the availability of experienced human resources, eligible university outputs, being so close to Saudi Arabian market, and developed infrastructure in terms of capacity use of internet and mobile phones.

The event attracted speakers who discussed a number of topics and themes that are very important for the development of the sector, he said.

BTECH president stressed that attending the event was important in promoting knowledge of chief executives and decision-makers in technology companies about global markets and their requirements of products and services, mechanism to meet those requirements as efficiently and profitably as possible.

They learnt about acquisition of the largest possible share of the market, as well as to identify strategies of major global companies that draw the future of the technical sector market and working to keep up with these strategies in order to ensure the continuity of their companies’ growth both horizontally and vertically. - TradeArabia News Service
