Batelco wins four specializations from Cisco

MANAMA, July 13, 2015

Batelco, a major telecom group in Bahrain, has announced the achievement of four advanced specialisation certificates from Cisco, a global leader in networking technologies.

The certificates include Enterprise Networks Architecture, Security Architecture, Data Centre Architecture and Collaboration Architecture.

Batelco was required to meet rigorous standards and training set forth by Cisco to sell, design and deploy comprehensive Cisco advanced solutions. This major achievement in technical specialisations will support Batelco in its continuous efforts geared towards capturing new opportunities and ensuring the smooth integration of advanced solutions across its entire Cisco products portfolio.

Each specialisation area corresponds to a key focal point for Batelco, as the accolades earned are well in line with the corporation’s strategic objectives.

The Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture specialisation has now equipped Batelco with the ability to provide Cisco Unified Access and Intelligent WAN solutions.

For Batelco’s customers, this means they will now be able to use more cost-effective WAN transport options between branch-office connections, without affecting performance, security or reliability.

To ensure the security of such solutions, the Advanced Security Architecture specialisation that Batelco has gained will now enable it to integrate Cisco’s security products in its offerings. This integration mitigates all risks before, during, and after a possible attack.  Cisco and Batelco have joined forces and are now collaborating to tend to all risks in each phase of the attack cycle.

The Advanced Data Centre Architecture Specialisation will enable Batelco to provide consolidation and virtualisation, private cloud computing, application or infrastructure-as-a-service and big data to its customers. Moreover, this data-driven market is most often complemented by increased connectivity and collaboration amongst various stakeholders that make up a corporation’s supply chain.

To excel in providing such services, Batelco has gained the Advanced Collaboration Architecture specialisation to help Batelco’s customer’s overcome their business challenges by enabling them to connect to their partners and suppliers.

As a Collaboration Architecture Partner, Batelco holds the advanced expertise to deliver vital solutions including Unified Communications, messaging, and telepresence. These critical certifications are well cemented by Batelco’s Gold Partnership status with Cisco.

This partnership allows the respective organisations to offer the broadest range of expertise across high growth market opportunities known as architecture plays - Enterprise Networking, Security, Collaboration, Data Centre Virtualisation and Borderless.

Gold Certified Partners such as Batelco have also integrated the deepest level of Cisco Lifecycle Services expertise into their offerings, and demonstrate a measurably high level of customer satisfaction. – TradeArabia News Service
