Queen Alia International Airport ... a major work of maisam.

Deltek’s ERP to improve maisam's project execution

LONDON, September 15, 2015

Maisam Architects & Engineers, a leading practice in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, has selected Deltek, a leading provider of enterprise software and information solutions for project-based businesses, to provide an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform for its growing business.

The Deltek Vision solution, purpose-built for the architecture and engineering industry, will streamline maisam’s internal processes allowing the team to focus on what they do best, delivering world-class design projects for their clients, said a statement.

With a reputation for producing diverse, landmark projects in the region, including the Queen Alia International Airport and the award-winning ‘A Gateway to Petra’ project, maisam’s growing project portfolio demanded a review of its existing infrastructure as it sought to become more efficient and competitive in the international marketplace, it said.

As the global standard for more than 4,500 global architecture and engineering (A&E) firms, Deltek Vision will provide maisam with integrated project, resource and financial management capabilities.

It will also provide support to the entire maisam business, allowing the practic to focus on managing the creative deliverables of each and every project while ensuring cost control and bottom line profitability.

Hazel Nimri of maisam said: “Our focus as a business has always been on delivering innovation through design, uniting people, places and experiences; and we expect the same dedication to excellence in the partners and systems we work with. In our selection of Deltek as our ERP provider, we were impressed by their commitment to the A&E industry, understanding of our business and industry, and the ability of the Vision system to support all of our internal functions.

“Every step of our project lifecycle, from bid management to timesheets, resource planning to financial management, will be united by one system. We will also have the integrated reporting we need to make business-critical decisions every step of the way as we expand our practice and take on more work.

Fergus Gilmore, managing director of Deltek UK, said: “As a growing practice, building efficiencies and minimising the administration of their client-focused team is crucial for maisam. This is a requirement common across all our A&E and other project-centric clients that unites them in their need to work with a specialist provider focused on their industry.

“We are very proud to have been selected as preferred partner to another Middle Eastern practice who is looking to expand their global operations and look forward to a long relationship with the maisam team.” - TradeArabia News Service
