Langley and Bose ... project management deal

Du, PMI strengthen project management tie-up

Dubai, December 1, 2015

UAE telecommunications service provider du and Project Management Institute (PMI) today announced the renewal of a strategic cooperation agreement in project management.

The agreement will allow du to use PMI’s project management framework in order to deliver its internal projects as well as for its flagship programs such as in its recent bid for the Smart City Initiative from Dubai Government as well as for Managed Services Solutions for its business customers.

This approach is further enhanced by the company’s work with HSI (a PMI organization) to gain access to the knowledge in its global database of leading practices, which is the largest such database in the world, according to a company statement.

‘Cooperating with the world-class organization PMI will ensure that we generate maximum value for our customers in terms of  du’s reliability in delivering projects on time, within budget and consistently exceeding customer requirements. Our execution capability is one of the central pillars for our differentiation in an increasingly competitive market’ said Ananda Bose, du’s chief corporate affairs officer.

Also, PMI will benefit from this unique collaboration. ‘Working closely together at Executive level allows us to understand specific challenges in the UAE market. du’s participation in PMI’s exclusive Global Executive Council and its commitment at the highest levels to advancing the use of project management as a strategic business driver demonstrates the company’s leadership in the region and the world.’ added Mark Langley, president and CEO, PMI Dubai. -TradeArabia News Service
