CMCS deploys project control system in Dubai Parks

DUBAI, October 11, 2016

CMCS, a leader in project management information systems, has announced that Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, has deployed its PMWeb web-based project control system.

The solution is a part of CMCS’ Project Management Information Solution Practice that offers organizations a single platform to manage, control and report on their project selection and delivery performance, said a statement from the company.

PMWeb ensures improved business practices in project selection and delivery, effectiveness in construction claims, enhanced efficiency from automating process, and optimised operating cost.

CMCS said Dubai Park and Resorts had deployed PMWeb for its planning and procurement process with the objective of maintaining transparency and accountability in the entire resort.

Planning, Procurement, Correspondence, Cost Management, Custom Form Builder, Drawing Sets/Lists, RFIs, Submittals, Meeting Minutes, Daily Reports, Document Management, and Visual Workflow are some of the features implemented, it stated.

Bassam Al Samman, the chief executive of CMCS, said: “Dubai Parks and Resorts is a destination that faced multiple challenges in sourcing and tracking project information because of multiple clients. It was on the lookout for a single platform to ease its work load and found a perfect solution in PMWeb through which it can gather all the information in one place and utilize it to generate powerful reports."

"We are upbeat that CMCS’ comprehensive PMWeb solution will provide Dubai Parks and Resorts with better collaboration, increased efficiency, and enhanced financial control," he added.

Dubai Park and Resorts now uses engineering forms for tracking submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, and shop drawing, enabling its management and team members to collaborate on and analyse progress reports.

PMWeb is also being used for tracking correspondence, workflow and notification to assist in online approval processes. Attachments are stored within records and are easily accessible with customizable security controls, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
