Omnix launches Digital Distribution Web Services program

DUBAI, February 12, 2017

The UAE-based Omnix International has launched the first Digital Distribution Web Services (DDWS) programme in the Middle East.

This program is launched in order to offer Autodesk products online across the GCC region, the company said.

Founded in the UAE in 1987, this home-grown brand works with over 70 global technology partners to offer technology enabled solutions to its customers, and this latest announcement is fully in line with this mandate, it said.

Dr Jayant Deshpande, general manager - Omnix International CAE Division, said: “We are extremely proud to be the first to launch DDWS in Middle East. Our team delivers this unique digital service to all our channel partners through a proprietary web-based subscription platform. We are live with this digital service and the feedback from partners and users alike so far has been overwhelming. A process that used to take one day or more is now real time in seconds, translating instantly both in processing time and bottom line savings for all parties.”

Digital Delivery Web Services (DDWS) is a program that enables the company’s partners and users to embrace the transition from perpetual physical licenses to online term-based offerings, which result in increased license duration flexibility, instant access and more value to end-users. Users can choose their license period, from one month to one year with a minimal entry subscription fee on a monthly basis.

Dr Deshpande added: “Omnix has always been committed to innovation and to anticipating the rapidly evolving changes in technology. It is integral to our strategy to embrace these changes, as it enables us to serve our customers in a more efficient and seamless manner, and in turn deliver significant incremental value add to their business operations.”

The ground-breaking Omnix web-based platform is accessible across all GCC channel partners and users. Whilst the company’s headquarters is in Dubai, it has offices across the GCC, namely in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia (Riyadh & Dammam), Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan, and employs over 1,000 professionals. – TradeArabia News Service
