MANAMA, May 23, 2017

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading digital solutions provider, joined Microsoft Bahrain for the launch Microsoft Surface devices in the kingdom.

The partnership is expected to make a pivotal contribution towards empowering organisations and individuals to embrace the digital age and work in exciting new ways, said a statement.

For the very first time, Batelco will be offering individual and enterprise customers with the full pack of the latest Surface devices and Office 365, along with connectivity options. This is in line with Batelco and Microsoft’s Surface Enterprise strategy, which offers enhanced support to organisations engaged in digital transformation programmes.

The launch event held at the Royal Golf Club in Riffa, Bahrain, brought together enterprise and public sector customers as well as small and medium sized businesses and partners.

Senior executives from Batelco and Microsoft highlighted the role that the Surface range, Windows 10 and Offices 365 has played in the digital transformation of organisations in the kingdom and around the world.

Attendees also benefitted from the opportunity to visit demonstration zones such as Education, Artists and Office 365 to experience the versatility, productivity and comprehensive security features of Microsoft’s Surface range. Bahraini professional artists showcased the creative capabilities of Surface through their original work.

Batelco Bahrain CEO Eng Muna Al Hashemi said Batelco was delighted to partner with Microsoft for the special event to introduce the power of Microsoft Surface and Office 365 to customers in Bahrain.

“Going beyond customer expectation is always our goal and with the launch of the Surface range in Bahrain, Batelco has achieved a major milestone with its customers by bringing the top of the class Windows laptop and tablet. Our customers will have the benefit of using a device which can deliver productivity and entertainment at the same time,” Eng Al Hashemi added.

Microsoft Bahrain and Oman Country General Manager Sherif Tawfik said Microsoft was thrilled to join hands with its longtime partner Batelco to bring Surface to Bahrain as part of the company’s Surface for Enterprise initiative.

“Digital transformation is not some arbitrary event that may or may not happen in the future; it is happening right now, today, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf, the Middle East and across the world.

“We have watched thousands of our customers use Surface – the most productive and secure device on the planet – to discover how to engage customers more effectively, empower employees, optimise operations and transform products and services. We want to empower every individual and organisation on the planet to achieve more. We do that with great products like Surface, Windows 10 and Office 365 backed by our trusted security and integration with our Enterprise Mobility Suite,” noted Tawfik. – TradeArabia News Service
