Ooredoo Oman launches new global M2M plan

MUSCAT, August 1, 2017

Ooredoo Oman has launched its new Global M2M plan, designed to help enterprises keep track of their fleet vehicles or cargo at all times, as they travel by road or sea within Oman, the region, or beyond.

Available from February 2, the innovative Global M2M Plan is part of Ooredoo’s ongoing dedication to facilitating connectivity and communications of the Sultanate’s businesses.

Commenting on the affordable fixed price roaming plan, Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi said: “We have developed the Ooredoo Global M2M plan to enable Omani enterprises of all sizes to take advantage of the important and increasingly popular machine-to-machine technology and devices.

“It will help them to keep moving efficiently, cost-effectively and with confidence as they expand their operations not only within Oman but to the global market. Indeed, the real time information they receive, thanks to their Ooredoo Global M2M plan, will not only allow them to monitor their assets as they move across the world but also improve operational efficiency and minimise costs.”

Opening up a world of opportunities to Omani businesses, the Ooredoo Global M2M plan offers value added data packages with prices for one SIM card at RO3 ($7.76) per month, offering free global roaming and 5MB monthly. Attractive rates of 500 Baizas per MB for additional consumption apply for customers who use the service internationally.

Bundles of one to over 500 SIM cards are available and the Global M2M plan can be used on any data compatible SIM card operated device.  – TradeArabia News Service
