New regional manager for American Networks and Technologies

MANAMA, February 23, 2020

Colorado-based American Networks and Technologies, a leading passive ICT manufacturer, has appointed Rakesh Raj as its new regional manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

In his new role, Raj will manage all partners and alliance-based engagements besides establishing a renewed, energised channel program, said a statement from American Networks and Technologies.

Raj brings with him seven years of experience in the ICT industry, leading high-impact sales teams across the region, across all verticals. In his previous role as business development manager at Alston Systems, he managed nine sales teams across small and medium enterprise (SME), channel, mid-market and enterprise accounts and held several sales leadership roles across the region.

George Landon, managing director of American Networks and Technologies - MEA, said: “Our channel partners play an essential role in how we support our customers and expand our business into new verticals and markets.”

“Having Rakesh onboard will bolster our existing channel relationships and establish new partnerships across the MEA region. Especially as organisations continue to migrate and upgrade their current infrastructure to suit 5G and coming of the age technologies with a rigid fibre and copper backbone structure.”

On his appointment, Raj said: “The attraction and excitement for me is in the competency, scale and reach that American Networks and Technologies provides customers.”

“Our reputation, strong marketing presence and legendary customer-centric service delivery, will enable an already robust partner program,” he said.

“I am thrilled to join American Networks, not only because it is the leader in structured cabling systems, but being in a position to have examined the vision of where the company is going I firmly believe American Networks will continue to transform the industry.”

“Ultimately we will capitalise on the strong opportunity that exists in the MEA region, for both the company and our partner ecosystem, around structured cabling, data centres and telecommunications,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
