Arab rights court proposal backed

His Majesty King Hamad’s proposal to establish the Arab Human Rights Court won further backing, said a report.
An Arab conference on developing human rights at the Arab League hailed the scheme as pioneering and an unprecedented initiative in the Arab world, reported Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
National Institution of Human Rights secretary-general Dr Ahmed Abdulla Farhan addressed the conference, which was held in Doha, and stressed the importance of the King’s initiative.-TradeArabia News Service
