Bahrain Works Ministry e-service sees rise in users

Bahrain’s Ministry of Works has revealed that the number of users for its 11 electronic services reached more than 10,000 during the first half of the year.
 
The services can be accessed through both the ministry’s portal and the e-government portal, said the ministry’s Information Technology director Hisham Sater.
 
The Materials Testing Results Services targeted the highest with as many as 9,863 users, followed by the Material/Product Assessment eService with 250 users and the Report of Road Fault with 234 users.
 
The other e-service including sanitary engineering complaints, sewage network connection requests, traffic signals maintenance requests, requesting permission for unusual loads, contractors qualification service, traffic diversion request service and building maintenance service, he said.
 
‘The ministry is keen to apply the latest technology to improve services and cope with the development in the e-government’s programme. The rise in the number of users for the e-services indicates the awareness of the Bahraini society,’ added Sater. - TradeArabia News Service
