Adco signs $334 EPC deal for Mender oilfield

ABU DHABI, May 21, 2015

The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (Adco) has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract valued $334 million for the development of the Mender field with China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC).

The contract covers the construction of gathering stations, pipelines and power transmission lines, as well as sewage systems, reported WAM, the official UAE news agency.

With a production capacity of about 20,000 barrels per day, the Mender field project will help boost Adco's daily crude production from 1.6 million barrels per day (mbpd) to 1.8 mbpd by 2017, the report said.
