Dewa promotes Dubai events in Texas

DUBAI, UAE, February 29, 2016

A delegation from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) took part at the Campus Energy 2016 Conference at Austin, Texas, to promote the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (Wetex), as well as Dubai Solar Show 2016.

The Dewa delegation included Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), Ali bin Abdullah Al Owais, chairman of the Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau for Electricity and Water in Dubai and Saeed Bel Jafla, deputy senior manager of government relations at Dewa.

The conference highlighted various topics including chemical handling operations, drinking-water treatment, automation pipes, collection systems pumps and management, and storm-water treatment equipment.

The delegation promoted Wetex 2016 as a powerful event covering energy, water, conservation, green buildings, fossil fuels and sustainability.

Dewa managing director and CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer commented that the main aim of the roadshow was to attract participants and companies specialising in water, environment, energy and renewable energy to Wetex 2016.

“We also shared expertise with national and multinational exhibitors, and reviewed the latest updates in the global energy sector. Our delegation was briefed on the best practises in energy presented at the Campus Energy 2016 Conference, organised by the International District Energy Association (IDEA),” he added.

The event was a success according to Al Tayer who said that they had attracted the attention of many multinational energy companies.

Held under the umbrella of the third Green Week 2016, Wetex and Dubai Solar show are being held from October 4-6 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. -TradeArabia News Service
