Parfums de Marly concocts perfect scents for Eid

Luxury fragrance house, Parfums de Marly, has created two new scents for him and her as a perfect gifting option this Eid. 
 
‘Layton Exclusif’ is the scent curated by the perfumer for men and is said to be a highly exclusive version of Layton which was launched in 2016. The head notes of the perfume offer generous, spirited, explosive bergamot, with rose and geranium vying to add elegance. In the base note, a hint of cardamom mingles with sandalwood and guaiac, emphasising all the nobility of wood. On the skin, the sudden turmoil is total thanks to the distinctive, evocative hint of caramelised coffee.
 
Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani said: “The idea was to intensify the note by adding strength, a hint of the animal (civet and oud), whilst preserving all the character and signature of the original. The key ingredients in this creation are extremely powerful – and rare – wood notes, in particular, guaiac from Paraguay, patchouli of amazing quality from Indonesia, an oud from Laos and sandalwood from Sri Lanka, to enhance the profile of the note.”
 
Above the dictates of fashion and typecasting, this composition for connoisseurs (a 20 per cent concentration) is presented in a luxurious deep blue bottle with silver signature, sheathed in an elegant case. As the ultimate luxury, this perfume will be available only through certain selective outlets.
 
‘Cassili’ is the scent created by the perfumer for women and was created by perfumers Calice Becker and Nanako Ogi (Givaudan). 
 
Selecting materials of exceptional quality and combining them with unprecedented molecules, the two women have challenged the established codes of the olfactory pyramid to create a round and vibrant fragrance, in which the notes interact and, once in contact with the skin, blossom and blend.
 
The scent opens with top notes of redcurrant and Bulgarian Rose. The exclusive sparkling and slightly green plum accord mingles with the joyous mimosa to form the heart notes and the base notes include Vanilla, Laotian benzoin and sandalwood to create a comforting scented weave.
 
The bottle is characterized by curves decorated with a coordinating tassel, stopper encrusted with apricot gloss and is peach coloured.
