Jordanian named Forbes Arabia editor
Amman

Forbes Arabia, the Arabic edition of Forbes magazine, has announced the appointment of Jordanian journalist, Khuloud Al Omian as Editorial Manager.

Bud Keegan, general manager, DIT Publishing, described the move as a quantum leap towards transforming and modernising the editorial process in the magazine, given Al Omian’s diverse media experience, including print, audio and video editorial management.

Khuloud Al Omian expressed her delight at taking over the new position and highlighted the high credibility enjoyed by Forbes Arabia.

She vowed to spare no effort in developing the magazine and maintaining its leadership at both the Arab and global levels.

Al Omain also underlined the magazine’s role in harnessing the Arab experiences to serve Arab readers and satisfy their diverse needs to bring about a real and clear change through the media.

Al Omian, who was born in Amman, joined the editorial team at Forbes Arabia in September 2006 as chief reporter, before assuming her position as editor in 2007.

She has written over 45 articles for the magazine, covering business leaders in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt.

The US-based Forbes International's decision to promote Al Omian as the editorial manager was based on their belief in her ability to efficiently manage the magazine’s team, and develop her own instruments for successful editorial management, while continuously raising the editorial standards of the magazine, say experts.

Al Omian possesses an intellectual perspective on trends and economic issues, locally and internationally, complemented by a unique style that is both intelligent and bold.-TradeArabia News Service
