Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high quality power cables in the Middle East, has been voted Superbrand for the year 2009, an award which recognises outstanding brand qualities identified with a particular brand name.
Ducab was among over 3,000 UAE-based companies to receive the Superbrands award at an event held at the InterContiental Festival City in Dubai on June 28.
The event saw the unveiling of the 2009 Superbrands book; Ducab has a feature dedicated on its brand and product range.
“We are thrilled to have obtained such a high-status award,” said Chew Wah Tan, general manager, sales and marketing at Ducab.
“Ducab has worked extremely hard since its inception in 1979 to create and maintain a brand that is renowned throughout the region for quality and excellent customer service. Receiving this award means that Ducab will be cherished and referred to for years as a high quality, prestigious brand,” he added.
Mike English, director, Superbrands Middle East, said: “This year we have chosen Superbrands that affect people’s daily life, brands that lead the way, and are building the future of the UAE.
“A Superbrand will never let us down, even in the toughest of situations they are always there to deliver what the promised and are always there for their customers.”
The Superbrands book pays tribute to the strongest brands in the UAE. Brands that have attained the Superbrands status are carefully selected from brands most highly rated by the independent Superbrands Council which consists of eminent figures in the world of branding.
The Superbrands organisation was established to promote excellence in brand management and the discipline of branding itself. It has been tracking the branding phenomenon for the past ten years and maintains councils in 39 different countries. – TradeArabia News Service
