Dubai

Nancy Ajram

Some of the biggest names in Arabic and Iranian music will perform in Dubai during Eid Al Fitr as part of daily concerts being organized during 'Eid in Dubai.'

Arab artists including as Nancy Ajram, Saber Al Rubaea, Fares Karam, Rabeh Saqer, Shireen Abdul Wahab, Abdul Fattah Grini, and Iranian stars Afshin, Hussain Tohi, and DJ Hooman are slated to perform to sell-out crowds this Eid.

Rabeh Saqer, Shireen Abdul Wahab, and Abdul Fattah Grini will perform on September 21 at the Dubai Media City Palladium while Nancy Ajram, Saber Al Rubaea, and Fares Karam will rock the crowd at the same venue on September 22.

Tickets for these concerts have been priced at Dh350 ($95), 300, 200, and 150 and are available at Virgin Megastore and through www.ticketingboxoffice.com, and at the venue, said the organisers.

Yousif Mubarak, chief operations officer of DSF Office said, “The gathering of such high-calibre artists from different cultures is by itself an indication of ‘Eid in Dubai’ as a popular event. By including Arabic, Iranian, and Indian singers through concerts, these shows will cater to the diverse nationalities that reside in Dubai.”

Famed Iranian singers Afshin, Hossein Tohi, and DJ Hooman will also take to the stage on September 20 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Hossein Tohi is a renowned Persian rap artist, who has, since 2000, created around 40 songs with a variety of subjects. 'Raghse Andam' and 'Kilid' are two of Tohi's most famous hits.

Tickets are priced at Dh240 and are available at Video Al Balad located at Baniyas Square in Deira, Mubarak said.

In addition to these concerts, a group of Indian singers will perform at Airport Expo Dubai on September 21 and 22. Titled 'Dhol Baaje,' Rahul Vaidya, Yashita Sharma, Jankee Parekh, and Shriram Iyer will take the stage to perform popular Bollywood songs.

Tickets are priced at Dh60 for single, Dh150 for family, and Dh100 per day for VIP tickets. Tickets are available at Sind Punjab Restaurant (Dubai and Karama), and at all Choithram Supermarkets in UAE.-TradeArabia News Service
