Oman launches health education channel
Muscat, May 5, 2013
Oman's Ministry of Health has implemented the Sultanate's first health education TV channel, ‘Hayah’ developed by leading digital signage company Anzyma.
The channel is part of the “Healthy living, healthy nation” initiative launched by Ministry of Health to change people’s lives and promote healthy living.
Hayah will create health awareness and wellness programs that entertain, engages and changes the living style of the people in Oman.
Anzyma is harnessing the power of digital technology and its expertise to create a new health education channel that engages close to 150,000 people every month including patients, visitors and staff working in health centres across the Muscat region.
It covers 23 health centres that will be displaying the Hayah channel, powered by Scala InfoChannel digital signage software. Anzyma is the Scala partner in Oman, who tailors solutions to clients’ individual needs.
“With more than 10 hours of original, broadcast-quality health education content, this channel has the potential to bring a revolution into people lives where everyone will be benefited of everyday lifestyle and health. Our goal for "Hayah" is to create a health education channel which provides viewers with engaging, fun and informative content that impacts their everyday lives, day after day,” said Adnan Al Raisi, IT (Scala) project manager, Ministry of Health.
The broadcasting content is being centrally controlled and managed electronically using a terminal, which allows changing the content for the most efficient, effective and targeted messaging possible.
Scala has powerful features such as built in template, schedule-based content distribution, variety of integration possibilities, and media playlists to keep you in control of your network from wherever you are in the world, from any internet enabled device, remarked Costy Berberi, the general manager at Anzyma.
"Managing digital signage content like Hayah, was very challenging and we overcame this with an innovative content management solution," said Berberi.
"Scala helped us to improve and simplify the process. Efficiency, with no doubt but cost effectiveness to ensure best ROI, delivered to our client by reducing the resources required to control and maintain the channel. Hayah represents a breakthrough in increasing health literacy and we strongly believe that in the future, Hayah can create limitless opportunities for the healthcare sector," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
