Forum on UAE’s role in empowering women

The significant role of UAE’s leadership in the empowering of women in all fields will be highlighted at a forum to be held in Dubai this week.

The National Culture Forum will be held on November 28 under the title ‘Rights and Duties of Women During the Union March of the UAE.’

The forum will be organised on the occasion of the UAE’s 42ndNational Day, with the participation of Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Experts and “Watani Al Emarat” Foundation.

It is being sponsored by UAE’s Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and organised by Islamic Affairs and Charitable ActivitiesDepartment in Dubai in collaboration with Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in Dubai.

“The activity will highlight the significant role of the UAE’s leadership inthe empowering of women in all fields, enabling them to reach the highest positions and participate in the decision making process in order to achieve the overall development of the state,” said Tariq Hilal Lootah , Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs.

Dr Hamad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Shibani, director general of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, said: “Through this forum, we aim to explain the important role of women in the society, and their active participation in promoting the overall development, which is responsibility of everybody in the UAE.” - TradeArabia News Service
