Doha media centre sacks chief

Doha, December 3, 2013

The Doha Centre for Media Freedom yesterday said it has sacked its Dutch general director, Jan Keulen.

It did not give a reason. Keulen took up the post in 2011, two years after his predecessor Robert Menard resigned, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

“Doha Centre for Media Freedom has announced the departure of its general director, Jan Keulen, who was relieved of his duties on November 26,” it said.

The statement said a replacement was being sought for Keulen, but did not provide any more details. - TradeArabia News Service
