Abu Dhabi Sports launches new mobile app

Abu Dhabi, December 8, 2013

Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), a multi-platform media and entertainment organisation, has launched a new Abu Dhabi Sports mobile application for devices operating on iOS and Android systems.

The launch of the mobile application is initiated by Abu Dhabi Media Digital Media Services division, as part of the company’s commitment to keeping up with the latest developments in the media industry.

The initiative is driven by the rise of mobile technology use in the region, which has proved to be a leading platform in information exchange, providing audiences access to content anytime, anywhere.

The new application, titled ‘Abu Dhabi Sports Live’, provides fans with the ability to remain up to date with the latest sports news. The app includes a section dedicated to the Arabian Gulf League and developments, with regular updates on the matches and the scores board.

Additionally, users will now have access to live streaming of free-to-air Abu Dhabi Sports channels (Extra + 1), provided with the ability to share content on social media pages by connecting to the app through Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, executive director of Digital Media Services at ADM said: “The new application comes as part of Abu Dhabi Media’s efforts to expand its digital media services in keeping with the latest developments in the media industry, and provide unlimited access to our brands through our multiple platforms that cater to our regional and international audience.
