Emirati fashion brand unveils 2014 collection

Dubai, February 11, 2014

Zari O’Breesam, an Emirati fashion brand, has unveiled its 2014 collection ‘Al Hasabi,’ which means ‘precious pearls.'

Nazek Al Sabbagh, the brand’s fashion designer and a businesswoman, said this collection has been designed as a gift to fashion lovers and Zari fans.

“It is inspired by the element of beauty and the blue waters of the Arabian Gulf, where the most beautiful marine creatures are born, reflecting distinguished beauty and mysterious secrets,” she said.

“I have designed ‘Al Hasabi’ collection to reflect the beauty of Gulf women reflected in the magnificent colours of the pearls. It is Zari O’Breesam’s new theme for 2014 as it represents marine elements, a departure from the 2013 collection ‘Masa Elward’ in which we used terrestrial elements,” said Al Sabbagh.

The collection includes funky colors, including shades of pearl as well as colours of the Arabian Gulf waters, such as blue, dark blue and green. The elaborate hand embroidery is also an essential part of the new collection.

Zari O’Breesam combines two Arabic words ‘Zari’ which is golden or silver threads and ‘Breesam,’ silk threads with bright colours. The brand boasts knowledge of the local culture and traditions and all designs are a blend of heritage and modernism. - TradeArabia News Service
