BAB hosts talk on cybercrime threats
Manama, February 16, 2014
Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) will host a seminar on threats and risks posed by cybercrime on Tuesday (February 18).
The seminar, titled "Cybercrime, threats and risks - a business threat with strategic implications", will be held jointly with Deloitte & Touche.
It will be led by Fadi Mutlak, Deloitte’s leader of the security & privacy practice in Dubai.
Major threats and risks to data and transactions are continually evolving, and typical approaches to cyber security are not nearly keeping pace. Current security models are minimally effective against cyber criminals and many organisations remain unaware of this. Addressing these risks must start by recognising that cyber threats are in fact not a technology problem but rather a business risk with strategic implications, said a statement.
During the presentation, Mutlak will walk the audience through: The current threat landscape, top 10 cyber risks and the guiding principles for creating a cyber-security program.
The event will take place in the Gulf Hotel’s Awal Ballroom from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm.
