Startup Bahrain launches anniversary issue
Manama, March 19, 2014
Startup Bahrain, an independent digital publication from Bahrain, has published its latest issue on iOS and Android devices.
The issue’s cover story features an exclusive interview with Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Tamkeen chairman and acting chief executive.
He addresses topics including Tamkeen’s projects and programmes, challenges, misconceptions, plans, and achievements in the interview, said a statement.
Startup Bahrain’s March issue marks the publication’s first anniversary.
The publication continues to uncover talent, inspiration and stories of success within the kingdom, the statement said.
The March issue is sponsored by Bahrain Development Bank and KFH Bahrain.
The March issue features a new videos section. It is planning on adding new sections to the magazine in the upcoming months including more regional coverage and interviews, a ‘How to’, and an ‘Opinions’ sections.
With currently over 5,500 subscribers, Startup Bahrain aims to serve the small and medium business community to build a platform that connects them with one another and with those who may help, support and inspire their businesses.
"We think we out do ourselves with every issue. We have a lot yet to accomplish and without all the help we get from our contributors, none of what we have accomplished so far would have been possible. While every issue is a milestone, they are also starting points to a lot to come," said Ahmed AlSawafiri, Startup Bahrain's founder and editor-in-chief.
Starting this issue, Startup Bahrain will not be available on legacy iPhones including the iPhone 4 and 4s due to these device’s ever-shrinking market share, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
