7D cinemas 'new benchmark in entertainment'
Dubai, April 9, 2014
A new benchmark in entertainment will be set up by 7D cinemas within the Middle East entertainment sector, said an expert at the ongoing Dubai Entertainment and Leisure (DEAL) show.
A major amusement show in the region, Deal kicked off yesterday (April 08) at ‘The Arena’, Dubai World Trade Centre.
The event organisers International Expo Consults (IEC) said 2014 would be a turnaround year in the amusement and entertainment sector as DEAL 2014 would take the industry by storm.
The three-day event saw large eager crowds in big numbers flocking to various booths at the exhibition. Apart from highlighting several contemporary products, DEAL 2014 is projecting 5D and 7D cinemas, video games, rides for kids, latest family entertainment centre equipments and other ingenious offerings at the exhibition.
DEAL show also served as a platform to formulate MENALAC (Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attractions Council). Once formalised the council will aim to drive the industry forward, said the organisers.
The primary objective of the association is to ensure uniform safety standards across the Middle East region. This council of industry operators will also aim to educate the industry with regard to the latest technology and innovation.
The key objective is to promote safe operations, regional development, professional growth and commercial success of the amusement industry. The council will also aim to serve as a credible resource for industry data and statistics, they added.
"Improvisation is the keyword in the amusement and entertainment industry as change is desired to yield better results. Over the period of years we have seen the industry grow and we have noticed that the Middle East has high acknowledgement for this industry," remarked Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, the chairman of International Expo Consults (IEC).
"Every year we noticed that each edition is diverse from its previous edition. Gone are the days when viewers enjoyed 3D cinemas which have now been taken over by 7D cinemas to give viewers the ultimate experience of cinematic viewing," said Falaknaz.
It is a great experience to see that the latest innovations have been brought forward as the exhibitors have done a great job in satisfying the audience’s experience," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
