DSO to host Facebook, LinkedIn at forum

Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, in association with Etisalat, is set to host its 15th TechForum event featuring leading social media players like Facebook and LinkedIn.

The day-long event is scheduled to run tomorrow (May 13) at the Dubai Silicon Oasis headquarters. The technology conference will witness Eleni Kitra, Facebook ME agency partner, speaking on ‘The Power of Facebook as a Marketing Platform’.

Pascale Comaty, marketing manager at Linkedin – Mena region, will share ideas on ‘Leveraging your Professional Brand on Linkedin’, while Amad Mian, project manager - The Online Project is set to highlight ‘Breaking Down Barriers with Effective Socialising’.

Dr Philip Boigner, vice president - Technology Investment Generation (TIG) at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, said: "Social media has gained prominence in building business and brand reputations. This has motivated enterprises to invest in social media platforms as an organic expansion of conventional businesses and customers for long term financial benefits.”
