The three-day event showcases a variety of beauty, fashion and lifestyle products and acts as a networking opportunity for women from various fields, according to UWCEE managing director Khadija Al Aiwi.

"It provides valuable business advice for businesswomen and female professionals, that can make a huge difference to women's involvement in today's competitive global markets," she said.

"It also opens doors to help discover future education and career paths."

Highlights on the opening day were the Funoon Al Reem Art Gallery Show and a seminar by Lebanese celebrity makeup artist Bassam Fattouh.

A fashion show will be held today alongside health and wellness lectures organised by Bahrain Specialist Hospital and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation.
