Cary unveils major initiatives at ArabNet

Cary, a leading social mobile app for buying and selling cars, is set to launch 2.0 of its smart application, which can be used by people all over the world to buy and sell vehicles in real time, at an ongoing summit in Dubai.
 
The company used the ArabNet Digital Summit 2014, which concludes today (June 5) to make several major announcements, said a statement.
 
The latest version of this innovative mobile app is scheduled to be initially launched to a limited number of market experts, before going public by end of June, it said. 
 
The new version will include a plethora of original features and functionality such as a brand new exploration section, which enables users to browse through selections of their favourite cars. 
 
The social aspect of Cary has also been updated with the option to users to join and follow groups which are continually updated to keep up with the latest news.
 
Additionally, user profiles can now be personalised, with Cary now enabling users to add a photograph and full profile. The profile feature offers similar functionality to online marketplace websites, enabling you to view purchase history, user ratings and more. 
 
Cary also features in-app messaging, which enables users and dealers to exchange both messages and photographs privately, enhancing the buying and selling process. 
 
In addition to the completely new version, Cary is also set to seek a ‘Series A Funding Round’ for its app in order to take the already esteemed application to the next level and provide an opportunity for investors to invest in this project.
 
Mohammed Johmani, founder, said: “The ArabNet’s Digital Showcase was the ideal venue for Cary to launch a number of its latest innovations and business initiatives. Although we view Cary as very much a global enterprise, we nevertheless have a particular affinity with the Middle East region, and so were delighted to unveil our newest products in Dubai.
 
“The valuable new features added to the Cary app allied to the new round of funding will help it grow even more popular. The new version of Cary brings the entire automobile industry to the comfort of your smartphone. It truly makes Cary the world’s first social mobile app for buying and selling cars.” 
 
“The intention of raising a second round of funding is to hire a whole new raft of mobile technology experts to work for Cary, with the intention of driving the company forward and making serious expansion to Cary’s operations. This will be particularly focused on launching Cary in new markets, and extending its current geographical focus,” added Johmani. 
 
Cary also announced that the Arabic version of the app will launch in September. 
 
Rana Tarakji, co-founder and business development driver,  said: “We are extremely excited about the imminent launch of the Arabic version of Cary, which is sure to expand our already sizeable user base in the Middle East.
