Samsung launches ‘Hala-B-Hali’ campaign
Dubai, July 7, 2014
Samsung has launched its ‘Hala-B-Hali’ campaign to encourage the spirit of Ramadan and its celebration.
The campaign will see Samsung encouraging people across the region to recreate an old family picture in the present day, said a statement.
A specially designed app available on the Samsung website will allow individuals to turn this image into a cover photo or profile pic, or any other number of ready to use formats across digital platforms, it said.
Marco Vocale, head of Corporate Marketing, Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “Ramadan is an important time for reflecting, sharing and giving. This year, we want to shine a light on the importance of family, and we are doing so through the ‘Hala-B-Hali’ campaign.
“With the fast pace of most people’s lives nowadays, we can become easily distracted from what is most important to us. This campaign will serve to remind participants that the family should not be forgotten, despite the many distractions day to day we might face.”
In support of the campaign, Samsung will also host a stand at the Mall of Emirates from July 2 to 21 with a variety of games open for the participation of families.
With several ‘zones’ on the stand with the letter of the alphabet allocated to them, participants will be able to play the games in the zones that correspond to their family name. Each game they participate in will see them collect a letter and once all the letters in their family name are collected they will have their photo take, printed and then placed in a frame as a keepsake. Games will vary from word puzzles to mobile phone games.
Samsung will also be donating a portion of its sales proceeds to the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs as part of the campaign.
Several of Samsung’s products ranging from the Samsung Curved UHD TV, Samsung’s RH77H90507F refrigerator, Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and its flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone will see funds raised for the Centre. - TradeArabia News Service
