‘Awards International’ launches operations in UAE
Dubai, August 13, 2014
UK-based Awards International, an organisation that develops and implements professional business awards programmes, has officially launched in Dubai.
It will run its own awards programmes, while offering services to develop and manage bespoke awards programmes for clients, said a statement.
The company’s USP is to use the concept of recognising outstanding achievements via awards ceremonies as a platform around which to build high value for time business events, where judges, finalists, sponsors and other attendees, can share and enhance their knowledge to enable them to do business better.
Mark Hamill, managing director, said: “Awards programmes should be more about adding value to all of the participants.
“Conventional awards programmes have been using a standard format for business awards which does not necessarily add value to the company involved, whether that be in terms of the level of exposure, sense of achievement or learning opportunities.”
“Our awards formula is one that has been tried and tested since 2008. With an open and transparent judging process, we can assure all participants that winners of our awards truly deserves it.” he said.
The firm aims at developing several awards programmes which appeal to companies from across the world.
“It is important that we attract companies to enter our awards not only from the GCC but beyond. We believe that this is essential in our bid to promote the UAE so that it is at the forefront of business practice globally which will in turn provide local businesses with a platform to learn from best practice,” said Hamill.
“Furthermore, we will aim to provide international business leaders with the opportunity to network and hold business meetings whilst they are in the UAE. Having key members of the global business community in the UAE for events such as this can help local businesses aspire to or operate according to global best practice,” he added.
Awards International will soon launch its first UAE-based business awards programme, the International Business Excellence Awards, which will take place in Dubai in May next year, the statement added. - TradeArabia News Service
